Dr Sarah Rose
Research AssociateResearch Interests
I am a medievalist with particular interests in lordship and political society in the north of England. I have worked on a number of research projects that have focused on local and regional history, with particular emphasis on the encouragment of public engagement with history and heritage. This includes the Victoria County History of Cumbria project, which I have worked on since 2010.
My Role
I began work for the Victoria County History of Cumbria project as the Volunteer Co-ordinator, supporting the work of volunteer researchers by providing guidance and skills training so that their work met VCH standards. I then took on a more research-based role as Assistant Editor and am now County Editor for the project.
